Linda and I have been reflecting this past week about how God has really been blessing our mission efforts in our local community as well as the work being done in Bakersfield.  We found that one of the main needs in Rosamond was a class in basic English.  So we started to teach ESL in February and were amazed on how well it was received in our Hispanic community.  The best part of this is the students are taking ownership in the program and are making it their own.  

Starting in a few week we will have classes Monday, Tuesday, Wednsday and Thursdays.  Some of the students from our previous classes will be helping us in teaching the new students.  God is so fatihful.

In Bakersfield we started the first of monthly training classes in Neighborhood Transformation this past weekend.  The desire of the Church we are working with is to have NT be the main focus for them to reach the surrounding neighborhoods.  The exciting thing about this is that the whole leadership team as well as a few of the lay people in church are committed to the training.  Keep an eye on each of the ministry pages for updates!
